The Armor SX5000 WB is a PRO-Grade water-based penetrating water-repellent sealer. It penetrates deep into the substrate where it chemically reacts to form a hydrophobic barrier within the pores that reduces surface water absorption by up to 95%. The Armor SX5000 WB is made from high-quality, non-recycled, US-manufactured resins. It is designed for unsealed concrete, brick, pavers, natural stone, and porous masonry. It works entirely below the surface, won’t change the look or color of the substrate, and won’t leave a surface film. By reducing surface water absorption, cracking, spalling, pitting, mold, mildew, algae, staining, and other damage and deterioration caused by surface water absorption will also be reduced.

I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. When my husband and I found this elephant sprinkler we were excited. Read the reviews and takeaways to get it running correctly. I love elephants and this little guy was going to have a home in our yard. Once it arrived we had already created a new sidewalk from our driveway connecting to the main one from the road which in turn created an empty space that needed attention. I have always wanted a fountain for the birds and wildlife around us. It was the perfect opportunity. Research. research, research, finally came up with this idea. Purchased a 30gal pond, fountain pump for 6-8’, also a female to female adapter for the hose source on the back of the elephant. I used 12”. Used flag stone to edge the pond. In order to Set the elephant above the waterline I used a block that is used to set decking posts with another half cinder block on top and dressed the top of the cinder block with a piece of flagstone on top. A bit of landscaping and this is our creation. Oh one other piece of info you have to unscrew the sprinkler adapter from the trunk of the elephant to get the stream of water from the trunk.. India.
