I bought this as a companion to the 20 lb. tank that we use for most things that require propane in our camper. The 20 lb. tank is enclosed in a garage which is convenient for most things, but can sometimes get in the way. This tank allows me to buy bulk propane, which is much more economical than disposable 1 lb. canisters, providing both a backup to the 20 lb. tank and the option to move the tank easily to other locations in our campsite.
