This bed is cute. It does everything that we need to do. It was simple to put together. It’s got a simple look to it. My only concern is that it advertises an 8 inch mattress. It is definitely not able to fit an 8 inch mattress. We ended up buying 6 inch mattresses and my husband had to build extended legs for it to come off the ground enough to be able to slide the bottom in and out even still I’m not able to slide the bottom in and out. I have to wait for my husband to do it for me. I would recommend going with a five or a 4 inch mattress unless you don’t mind possibly not being able to slide out the bottom. This bed is amazing! The boys really like it. I would recommend a thicker 12in mattress with it to cover the gap in the back but it’s a very nice bed. Wanted this for someone who would be sleeping and watching television in the bedroom frequently and there wasn’t space for a separate seating area. I paid for assembly and the person was able to build it without any issues. The drawers below are a little flimsy, but love the extra added storage under the bed. Bed is great. My husband put it together, and he had a few challenges, nothing he couldn’t handle though. Overall, the bed is awesome. The only thing we did have to do was buy bed risers for the main frame because the mattress we have for the trundle was too thick, and it didn’t slide under the bed at all; but with the bed risers, the bed fits under perfectly now, and our boys love it..
