These were not hard to install, I watched a video. I really recommend a video, it makes the directions make sense. Getting it level is the hard part. Drilling the screws in was probably the harder part. The shades came the exact size I measured, kudos to the person who cuts them to size. I bought the blue tree version. The material feels ultra silky. I think the photo online makes it look amazing, but in person is more like simply beautiful. I loved the overall look and feel. Yes, it is very heavy because it is a blackout curtain; I doubt that a sheer, light blackout curtain exists. The further back you stand, the more the picture comes together like a Monet watercolor. I didn't notice the lemur face in the middle until after I bought it, which I feel detracts from it because it feels more weird than whimsical. Not sure I would have gotten it, but now that it's here I am going to make it work, especially when I pair it with the Makenna Adjustable Single Curtain rod with silver bird finials on the end!.
