I ordered the 12 inch mattress and was pleasantly surprised. It's very comfortable. A bit of spring to it but you don't feel it when you are laying down. Use the inclosed tool to cut through the first layer of plastic and it begins inflating. Cut through the remaining plastic and listen to the hiss. Remove the plastic and it immediately inflates. This is not one of those mattresses that you need to wait 72 hours to inflate, it’s literally ready to go. If you need a firm mattress that’s not hard, but stiff enough, this is the one.
