Cutting a piece of rubber is similar to cutting through lumber not easy. Also, the 12-in. pieces allow for more design options such as right angles and tighter curves/circles. The 12-inch. pieces interlock together easily. No digging is involved simply anchors in the provided anchor nails for long-term stability. Easier to create curves/angles than 4 ft. options. When you put some slats in and you pull the two outside boards apart slightly to put more in, the first ones would fall out like dominos. Very frustrating! Purchased the teak color. Carpenter says it’s a great product. Does not come with anything but siding pieces. Carpenter watched video on how to install-very helpful. Cuts easily with an electric saw. Nice clean edges. Very heavy. Ridges are hollow so we installed a ledge above and below siding so that insects could not get in and make nests. We had some exposed screws due to were the edge of siding ended in project. Did a paint match and painted tops of screws. Very happy with results. I could not have installed this siding.
