I was very disappointed in the benches I received. They were not black nor were they poly lumber. They were wood and brown. When I contacted the company, I was given options to either keep them or return them. I was not given an amount of what it would cost to return them but I figured it would be costly because they are pretty heavy. After a conversation with a customer service representative, I agreed to keep them with a 20% discount. Then came time to put them together and that was also a disappointment. Several of the wholes were not big enough for the screw covers so it took almost 4 hours to put one together-we did not have the time nor the patience to put the other one together. The instructions were poorly written and hard to follow. Unrelated to this purchase but also a disappointment was a lamp I received from this company a week earlier that had broken wires and needed to be replaced. They like to imagine these zinc containers nestled in the scene of a rustic greenhouse while nimble-fingered botanist prunes and plucks away. The ribbed design and coarse texture of the metal work give the planters an antique and industrial look.

They are Larger than expected which is a good thing. But The bottom material of the containers is much thinner than I thought it would be. I am not sure what’s going to happen once they are filled with heavy soil and need to be moved in the shed for the winter and how the bottoms will hold up.
