I’m 75 so this thing is a bit hard for me. I didn’t realize the compartment for clean water and used water were in the back. It’s heavy to turn around for me and lifting the water is difficult. You must wash the whole thing every week. My sink is high, newer apt, I’m 4 11” and that’s lifting at chest level. I think for younger folks it’d be great but when it’s done cleaning the water there is about a days worth for me. Otherwise for what it is it’s great! It does take up one counter at my apt. The Avalon Electric Countertop 3 Temperature Bottleless Water Cooler is made with an innovative design. It offers a choice of 3 water temperatures to choose from. The easy-to-use electronic buttons make it so much more convenient to use. Simply press the button of your choice and allow the water to flow from the spout. The machine's highly efficient compressor makes the cold water crisp and ice cold at approximately 47° F without the need of adding ice cubes to your drink. We considered doing an under the counter option in our house, but after doing research for about two months, I decided that this countertop option would best fit our needs. We wanted to reduce our intake of the standard filtered water we get from our refrigerator as much as possible since we know that most refrigerator drinking water filtration systems cannot filter out harmful metals, chemicals, or micro plastics the way that reverse osmosis systems can. And this system, having only one filter that can perform the same task as something with three or four separate filters is really what sold us. And it works! We’ve done our own drinking water tests at home from a few kits we got from the city, and specifically the metals detected in this filtered water versus the filtered water from our refrigerator is astounding. Our average PPM reading is around 0.05 with the system compared to around 0.87 with our regular filtered water from our refrigerator.
