The Moen digital shower controller is a nice upgrade. We needed a controller on the opposite side of the shower from the shower head, so the water could be turned on without entering the shower. These came in a set of two, and we got them in white. As far as the Verner Panton style chair goes, this is the most affordable option I’ve seen out there. A lot of them go for upwards of $500 for one chair, so this is a deal. However, I’m not sure how they would compare quality-wise. These look nice and are surprisingly comfortable to sit in, but I wonder how they will hold up over a longer period, the plastic being a little thinner than I expected. Perhaps they’re all made this way. Again, without anything else to compare it to, it’s hard to say. But they provide a stylish and compact seating option and fit with our 70’s aesthetic. I have never had a batch disposal before. I have always had the traditional ones that require a switch to turn on. The only real issue (and its not much of one) is with how our sink is in the kitchen island there isn't a good spot to set the plunger when not in use other than in the sink itself. It is powerful and I am really happy how well it does its job. There is no flap that covers the opening to the drain like on traditional disposals. I thought this would be an issue having it open and silverware falling in. With our drain off to the right it really has not been a problem. Although I did have a fork fall into it the fact that the disposals "neck" between the sink and the bottom is long so the fork never fully fell into the disposal it just stood straight up. Also not having that flap covering the disposal makes it much easier to see at a glance if anything has made its way in that should be there. It is noisy but not bad, just as I expected as from traditional. I like the safety of it not turning on unless the plunger is in. We have young kiddos. Just makes me feel better. Has held up really well. You’re likely to get some scratching of the paint or coating on the middle separator if you lean things like pizza stones or anything slightly abrasive against it, but otherwise has help up really well.
