For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. I wanted a light in specific place in the bathroom we're remodeling, but the location was right off of a beam.
