Washer works well. It is reasonably quiet and has low vibration levels. Overall capacity is good, especially compared to our previous 20+ year-old washer. This is considered a high-efficiency washer, so you have to get used to the lesser amount of water it uses compared to older machines. The primary negative is the fabric softener dispenser clogs with the softener residue quite frequently. We have to remove and clean the dispenser tray after every 10 loads or so. I originally had the Nostalgie I bought a little over two years ago. I had a lot of trouble, such as loud ventilations fans (that sounded like an emergency broadcast signal), uneven cooking, temperature swings of over 100 degrees, not all burners working, and misaligned doors that resulted in the small oven door opening whenever the large oven door was opened. All these problems have been fixed. The ventilation fans are super quiet. The burners work great. The temperature is even throughout (baking a cake was the test) and the oven temp is rock solid (I didn't even see the temperature change at all during the 15 minutes that I was monitoring it with a temperature probe.) Of course the great thing that hasn't changed about the Nostalgie is its looks, which has always been the case and is obvious just by looking at the photo.
