I am not going to lie. I was leery, but my expectations were exceeded just on the packaging alone! Took me about an hour to put together, instructions were easy-ish to follow. The operation is smooth, very quiet when moving up/down. The wiring threw me off a bit, as the light controller is in the box with the desk and everything else is in the box with the frame. I am very pleased, it feels sturdy. Caution, the box with the frame is much heavier than expected, but you can tell quality went into the making. Didn't have to program the motors or calibrate them. The cup holder is a nice touch for sure! I do wish it came with a PC tower holder, but there was room on top for the desktop. I am a developer, not a gamer, but it's perfect for my setup! The price is higher than many of the others but I chose this one, because the top is a solid piece and not split like a majority of the others. My son FINALLY got my desk assembled. The drawers are soft sided cloth with a drawer front that looks like they are solid. I didn’t realize that before I ordered it, or maybe I forgot. He just got it put together yesterday and my computer up so I can’t tell you yet about how it functions, but so far I really like it. He spent hours assembling it though but it went together without complications. The light strip is nice even though I doubt I will use anything other than the white light. However if you are a fan of moving color lights you’ll love that feature. I’m sure this desk is going to meet my needs for years to come. I’m happy with my purchase. We’ll see how the soft drawers hold up to use, but they are like other cube bins I have in my home and are suitable for storage and stand up to use.
