I loved the look of the armoire in the photo. I knew there was going to be some distressing on the piece but I didn't expect the level of super shabby chic that it turned out to be. The cabinet is not good quality but passable. Definitely overpriced. I repainted it to get rid of all the chips and dings and touched up the doors where the black met the gold and cream design. The motif on the doors was very sloppily done but likely done on purpose to make the piece look aged. I painted the inside a shrimp color but I don't think I'll be leaving it open for display. Good but not great. - Bad amount of interior space. You can see from my pictures that there 2 to 3 inches of dead space between drawers. So it holds a lot LESS than you think it will. I bought this to replace a cabinet only 40 of this things height, and the contents take up 75 of the drawer space. So you get a lot less storage that you think you will - Fully assembled is a huge plus, but this makes it SUPER HEAVY (140 lbs). I live alone and struggled to get this inside, despite it being just 10 feet from delivery point to final placement. I love this nightstand. It’s gorgeous. UPDATE It’s been a year I still really love this item. I still think it’s gorgeous, but honestly the quality is not very good. I mean within the first week of using it a decent size chunk of wood from the drawer front so beautiful engraved drawer front. It was right next to the knob though so it’s wasn’t easy to see b when if the knob is there it kinda covers it, but now all three knobs have all fallen off will not stay in place on anymore. It seems like this stressor should’ve come with it not for the bolts that hold the drawer knobs in place I think that would’ve helped prevent this problem but it’s like the fact that the screws were constantly wearing down the wood hole every time the drawers were being pulled open and shut so overtime it made the holes too big for the screws that hold the knob in place. Now these could be replaced easily though so for me, it sucks that the knobs fell out, but I like this item enough that I have bought new knobs that work. The problem is though that it really just isn’t a quality item even though I love the appearance I can’t say that I definitely recommend it as something that you’ll buy and keep for an extended period of time, I imagine mine will have to be replaced within a year or so, because the drawers are starting to fall apart a little bit The whole structure is already becoming wobbly. It’s unfortunate because it really is a beautiful nightstand but, the quality is pretty poor. I imagine I’ll probably need to replace it in a year or so which is a bummer because I really do love it b its just started to feel like it’s becoming very unstable over the past this past several weeks.
