I like the overall design of this chicken feeder and the fact that it has a handle on top for easy transport, caps on the feeder ports to secure the feed overnight, and it's taller than most chicken feeders with it's long slender metal legs. With that said, I gave this feeder 4 stars instead of 5 because after filling it to capacity it became somewhat 'top heavy' with those long slender metal legs. My husband beefed the legs up to prevent the feeder from toppling over - which really made a difference. It's still a great feeder and I would recommend it. I assembled this alone with my drill (just needed Phillips bit no actual drilling holes, all my spots lined up fine.. I was worried seeing other reviews) my only issue is the ramp it broke off while moving the coop and reattaching was a hard reach. We did set it on paver stones I was worried about wood rotting overtime in wet winter ground. In addition to that we also added a chain run around the coop. To keep our 3 hens in this coop all the time would be mean. Too small of a open ground pecking spot for even 1 chicken...This is great for the 3 to lay eggs in and sleep in not to live in full time.
