I purchased this Howard End Grain one as it was on sale and just in case I need a new board in the future. It comes very well packed as you can see in the photos. I have two sizes of cutting boards 17x13 and 15x20 and they are on different sides of my kitchen counters and I do everything on them. It is much better than the plastic cutting board as you can see the plastic coming off the board as you cut your vegetables, meat or chicken on it. Regular application of our butcher block oil will prevent cracking and preserve the rich natural colors of the wood. From time to time, the surface may become "Bumpy". This is completely natural as we leave all of our wood in its natural state with no varnishes or lacquers. You can simply use high grit sandpaper to smooth it out and oil it again to bring it back to the new!
