These Hevea butcher block countertops were just what I wanted for my new office. They were well packaged and arrived without damage. A few coats of matte poly were easy to apply. Nice smooth edges too so no additional sanding needed. They were less than half the cost of what I could get through my local big box DIY store. Super disappointed that this item is much shorter than expected. It is about 23 inches high, instead of 29 inches like it was supposed to be. I even called Wayfair before placing the order to make sure I would receive the 29-inch version of this. I thought it was odd that the 29-inch version was less expensive than the 23-inch version, but the Wayfair associate assured me that I was ordering the 29-inch version. The item arrived more than a week later than the originally promised time frame. Also, the finish is a bit lighter than what I expected. There are a few dark marks on the top of the furniture piece that are either from the stain or from sanding that wasn't finished quite right. Otherwise, it seems like a solid, well-made piece. This is a beautiful wooden shelving unit for kids toys. It can fully assembled without damage which is impressive because the box was wet and dented. The unit comes with caster already installed. Due to the casters and the lip on the top my 12 month immediately wanted to climb it which was very scare. For toddlers this definitely needs to be secured to the wall with baby-proofing straps so the wheels are less relevant. Overall this is large enough for lots of toys and books and is attractive!
