Super disappointed that this item is much shorter than expected. It is about 23 inches high, instead of 29 inches like it was supposed to be. I even called Wayfair before placing the order to make sure I would receive the 29-inch version of this. I thought it was odd that the 29-inch version was less expensive than the 23-inch version, but the Wayfair associate assured me that I was ordering the 29-inch version. The item arrived more than a week later than the originally promised time frame. Also, the finish is a bit lighter than what I expected. There are a few dark marks on the top of the furniture piece that are either from the stain or from sanding that wasn't finished quite right. Otherwise, it seems like a solid, well-made piece. Purchased the Riverwood style. Painted them but have not installed yet. They arrived primed, but primer is tacky…sticky. I have had to put 2 heavy coats of paint on them. Still painting…waiting for paint coats to dry and not be sticky either. Only concern is the shutters are not as sturdy as I expected (why the 4 stars) and hoping during installation they will not be damaged. Arrived super fast. Exactly what we wanted and needed. Description was perfect and the piece has a lot of character just like Ambrosia Maple should. The grooves in it are not too deep, but deep enough to see. We will be ordering more for a big project. If you know this wood, this piece is exactly as ambrosia maple should be with the groove character! It is not a flat back, rather has the edging thinned out to be used for wall paneling if needed.
