This is excellent and nearly perfect for what I need it to do. Before you read on, you can just stop right here if you are not expecting to use it like a woke. This thing is almost as light as a hand hammered iron wok. 2. it's thin enough that heats up fast to stir fry 3. it does not retain heat nearly as much as my hexclad...which is key to woking.....heats up fast and cools down fast 4. it has more raised steel parts than hexclad, it provide better, faster heating, and frankly better flavor (yes, it will stick much more....but this is a wok, if you are sticking with a wok, you are probably not using it right) 5. it comes with a very nice lid with I use may be 20% of the time. I believe one could put it into the dishwasher but it is simple to wash since nothing sticks and it’s really too large to fit. While the oven is preheating - Wash the pan with warm soapy water dry it with a towel and then place it on the stovetop and heat to ensure the pan is thoroughly dried. One pan is dry use oil of choice and with a paper towel apply around the interior and exterior of the pan. You may also continue to rub the pan with a hand towel to ensure the oil is evenly coated throughout the pan. Place the pan into the fully heated oven upside down on the rack above the foil-lined baking sheet. Leave the pan in the oven for an hour. After an hour turn off the oven but leave the pan in there until it is cool to the touch.
