I've been very impressed with the FOTILE 30" Slant Vent range hood. It’s extremely efficient at removing smoke and cooking odors, much more powerful than standard models. Despite its strong suction (up to 1100 CFM), it operates surprisingly quietly, which is a big plus in an open kitchen. The touchless control feature is also a standout. This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. Our contractor vented it outside the house. He had to put some trim at the top to cover the holes, but it looks great! They are attached to the range hood blower to clean the air before recirculating back into the house. Ductwork is not necessary. This hood sucks smoke better than any hood I've ever had. When it turns on the glass keeps the smoking from just rising to my ceiling. It's like a commercial hood. Anything I throw at it it handles. Love it! Replaced an extremely loud Broan hood. Couldn’t wait for the kitchen remodel because the replaced hood was so loud. So glad we got this now and we’ll design the kitchen around this hood. I was unable to install 8” duct and have it reduced for now. Up to level 3 pretty much all you hear is the whooshing of air being vented outside.
