Assembling the roof canopy after the frame was fully erected proved to be cumbersome. Highly recommend using a four-step ladder or 6 ft ladder. I was able to assemble alone. I just put this up, and it has the most detailed instructions I've ever seen! All of the parts were there, everything numbered, everything fit together real well, I also like how you can take the ends of the shelter off and back on, Ididn't put them on from the beginning but I don't think it's going to be a big deal you just got to go up under the collar that comes around the end to keep weather out when you do have the ends on there. I'm not using the anchoring ropes into the ground, taking one to a tree and the other two into the house. I'll just have to wait and see if it can stand up to South Florida weather. Time will tell how this guy holds up! Assembly was a little bit of a pain, do note that you have to take tons of screws OUT upon unpacking. I though I had missing pieces. The shipping box makes it almost impossible to repack once you unpack it, so make sure you want it! Some of the panels were bent, but upon installing I realized it didn't matter, the frame aligns them and it's virtually unnoticeable. Other than that, the item feels really well made and sturdy once all together. It isn't meant to be water proof, only water resistant. It's very nice looking, and the light color is beautiful. This car port looks great and functions great. We got the larger size and it fits my husband’s truck perfectly. The instructions were easy to follow, but just be prepared to leave a lot of time to assemble this. Start to finish it took us a long weekend with mainly 1-2 people working on it at a time. Once built, it’s not super heavy duty, however we did secure it down to cinderblocks at every post to add stability and keep it more secure with wind. Overall, very happy with purchase.. April.
