Replacing another Eagle that blew away in a storm. Did a lot of research, ended with this weathervane. It is a classic but, it doesn’t seem to be so ostentatious. Liked the design better of the next size up, but thought it might be too large (tall) for my copula. It’s winter, so I have not climbed up to install it yet. I have one of these that was frozen with rust. I had to hacksaw the rod and then drill it out. I replaced the rod with a 5/16 stainless steel bolt after threading the base and sharpening the head end. I did the same, with the new one, to eliminate the problem.
