Replacing another Eagle that blew away in a storm. Did a lot of research, ended with this weathervane. It is a classic but, it doesn’t seem to be so ostentatious. We were task we building an interactive exhibit for display in the Dallas Arboretum. The exhibit was titled Jack's Bean Stalk thus the need for a goose to lay a golden egg. The goose is mounted on the top of a twenty foot wooden structure built to simulate a beanstalk growing to the sky. I like to start a review with the packaging. So, it came in a box, very well cared for inside, fragile label on all sides, and it arrived via FedEx in perfect condition. Good job, Fedex!! Upon assembly I noticed it was very straight forward (mechanical mind not necessary), the instructions were clear and written in my language. Looking at this beautiful piece fully assembled made me feel almost awe struck, with its glowing copper eagle, and brass cardinal directions. Solid piece! I've capped the cupola I'm building with it and it made it even more pretty! The only downside that I could find us that it does not come with the mount. Not really a downside though and if I had read the description better I would've known that before the purchase. You will love this piece. Just to be clear, I did not request a replacement weathervane and I did not receive one. I called Wayfair because I could not see assembly instructions or screws through the clear plastic which enclosed the pieces of the weathervane. I did not want to open the packaging in case I needed to return the item. After a short hold, I was advised that the missing items would be sent to me. I did send a photo of the unwrapped item, as requested. The next day I opened the packaging and realized that assembly of the product was actually very simple, using the picture on the website as a guide, and the only screws required were the 6 screws to attach the weathervane to the cupola, which I purchased at a local hardware store. The attachment piece was not suitable for my cupola, so a friend was able to fabricate it to fit. I am very pleased with the way the project turned out. My only suggestion would be for the supplier to include a simple 1 page print-out or a pdf on-line for assembly in the product description, as well as a note indicating that attachment screws are not included..
