Wanted to upgrade our over the stove microwave and found this LG one. I love the slide out vent option. It really does get rid of steam and oil smoke from the front burners. It will help when we change to a gas range and oven. Other reviews stated issues with the side out function. I see no issues with the durability. Just don’t lean on it or put things on it. Power is amazing and food cooks quickly and evenly. Some others disliked that the screen goes blank until you open the door. I don’t notice this as an issue. You have to open the door to put your food in first. The only time it requires opening is to use the timer function. We are very impressed with the look, features, quality and price. Uhg! I’m once again wishing for 3.5 stars or a 710. Yes, the Rev-A-Shelf does work and their competition is weak, so I keep buying it. I think this is number four for me in the last few years. It works but they cost so much and leave so much to be desired. The main lacking component in this piece is the absolute waste of space above the can which could easily have been a pull-out drawer. If you’re looking at other pieces, my experience says they’re most likely lacking something too. I hope a competitive company that’s actually good enters the market. For now, let me tell you, it’s probably less expensive and better quality to have something custom-made. I’m doing that for another piece in my kitchen and saving money. I just couldn’t find good cans for this one or would’ve done it too. Over time you’ll probably forget how much you spent on Rev-A-Shelf, which is probably more than twice as much as it’s already marked up retail price should be, but, if you pick it and install it correctly, it should work.. So only used it twice as it was delivered 2 days ago. The dishes came out spotless. I'm still experimenting with how much detergent to use as the instructions say "a moderate amount." I think 1-1/2 Tablespoons will be about right. It fits nicely on my very small counter space next to the sink. I have a quick connect adapter with a diverter for the kitchen faucet for an easy water source although I could also fill the water tank as an alternative and this machine automatically detects which water source you chose. So far I'm very happy with this countertop diswhasher. It's perfect for one or 2 people. The run time is an hour with an additional hour for drying so I turn it on at night when I'm done with the sink or just before bed. It's perfect for my senior downsizing life.
