It casts a lovely warm light throughout the room. It's not bright-white reading/task light, but I didn't want that. I wanted useful but calm mood lighting. These bulbs with this fixture would be absolutely perfect over a dining table. If you used 60 or 100 watt bulbs it would be quite bright. Apologies for the poor photography - it's tough to photograph bare bulbs! I’m really happy with this 8 light bulb fixture overall. The installation process was surprisingly easy and straightforward, even for someone who doesn’t do a lot of electrical work. The instructions were clear, all the hardware was included, and it mounted securely without any issues. I was able to get it installed in a pretty short amount of time. The design looks even better in person than it did in the pictures online. It has a clean modern style that instantly upgraded the look of the room. I especially like the matte black finish and the unique layout of the arms because it gives the fixture a stylish contemporary feel without looking too flashy. It works really well in bedrooms, offices, or living spaces and adds a nice modern touch to the ceiling. The only reason the lighting looks a little uneven in my photo is because I didn’t have enough matching light bulbs on hand at the time of installation. Once I replace them all with matching bulbs, I know it’s going to look even better and provide more balanced lighting throughout the room. Overall, this is a great product for the price. These bulbs should not be touched with bare hands. The oil from the skin can create hot spots on the glass that reduce the life of the bulb.
