I am brand new to composting and this definitely meets my needs. Once assembled, it is a good size, lightweight, and easy to use. I took off a star because I found assembly to be challenging. Instructions were just ok. It requires over 40 little screws and bolts in some hard-to-reach places. Tough on fingers and fingernails. Calls for a wrench to tighten but no room to get a wrench in. Has small ventilation holes on sides - was wishing there were some on the top-facing surfaces to let sunlight in. it tumbles easily and is easy to fill. All said, I'm happy with it!. Anne. I like that I didnt have to screw but 2 bolts. The frame snaps together and the tumbler only needs the center partition placed and then the door slides on. 10 minutes! Its nice and sturdy, and easy to tumble. The compost will be easy to remove by sliding the door open and rotating it downward. My compost is only a week into the making and its 80 degrees. I bought this as an addition to my tote worm bin as the worms needed to be divided. I have a tote style for a year and wanted to try a tower. The lid does not snap on like the tote top. Whether this is going to be a problem, I don’t know. My tote has 3 coverings: plastic wrap, then paper grocery bag, then cloth held on with 2 types of bands. Just having a lid sitting on bin is the opposite of my other bin. Instructions were unclear and I emailed customer service and never heard back. No idea what or how to use the spigot. Will search you tube. I think this is a good kit with lots of extras that I havent had to use but fun to have to be more expert (temperature gage, ph balance thing).. Mary. Belfast, ME.
