I ordered it to donate to a foster program, and thought it would be perfect for new kittens/puppies and their mothers - they can be pretty messy. :( The outer nylon cover is absolutely waterproof and as heavy and chew-resistant as described, but I dribbled water on the furry mattress cover and found that the interior was damp after a minute. I still rate it high though, and recommend it. I'll tell them to use pee-pads over the mattress and it'll work well. It's very well made from nice materials. The mattress is stiff enough to not crush over time, but is also very supportive and comfortable. The side rails are stiff enough to stay upright and not sag under a heavy head. The non- skid bottom is actually "tacky" enough to really be non-skid. All of those qualities make it a better bed than most. We just got it so I have no info on how it holds up, but it looks super cute and it is very sturdy. It feels like it is built well. Doggo is a puppy, about 40 pounds now and we expect him to be 60 pounds. Looks like hell have plenty of space to grow into it.
