The Outdoor Dog Kennel is fantastic. This is a two-person project. You can put it together by yourself, as that is what I did. However, it takes 2 to 3 times longer to put together by yourself and at times it is very hard to maneuver the enclosure by yourself. The dog kennel is big enough for two large dogs and still leaves plenty of room for them to play with each other, and run around. There are two draw backs for me. The first is that the gate/door is hard to open, when you unlatch the top latch, and then go to unlatch the bottom latch, then the top latch will close again. Therefore, you will need to open the top and bottom together. Second, the gate/door does not stay open. I would like the dogs to be able to go into the enclosure for shade while I am at work, but since the door cannot stay open they would not be able to get back out. This is a great piece! It was a little bit of a challenge to put together (I mixed a few steps up). Between my husband and I we figured it out though. Great Pyrenees puppy (7 mos old) for size reference. It fits her comfortably. It has several options like a spinning foodwater dish (we didn’t install the food bowls because the baby would eat the dog food). But conceptually it’s nice to be able to crate and feed as needed. It also has three sides that open including an attractive sliding door and two ends that fully open. As you can see, the top serves as a changing station for us but could have multiple uses. This piece is much sturdier and heavier than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise once it was fully assembled. The overall quality feels solid and stable, and it definitely does not come across as flimsy or cheaply made. That said, the assembly process was far more difficult than it should have been. The instructions were not very clear, and none of the parts were labeled, which made the setup frustrating and time consuming. It ended up taking close to three hours to put together because of all the guesswork involved. One corner on the top section also did not line up perfectly, so that particular screw could not be tightened completely. Thankfully, it still seems stable overall, but the alignment issue was disappointing considering the amount of effort required to assemble it. Another thing buyers should know is that this item is extremely large once completed. I would strongly recommend assembling it inside the room where it will be used, because moving it afterward may be difficult. This thing is nearly perfect! We have three dogs that we kennel occasionally when we leave the house, and I was tired of looking at three wire kennels of different sizes spread throughout the house. I decided to splurge on this 95" furniture-style kennel console, and it's absolutely everything I wanted it to be! It's STURDY. The assembly instructions were easy to follow, and assembly wasn't nearly as daunting a task as I thought it was going to be. Ours did arrive with a pretty nasty scratch/scuff on one of the bottom boards (thanks to a pretty big gash in the box from shipping), but it's covered by a kennel pad/dog bed, so not visible and not worth fussing over. Wasn’t hard to build if you have any knowledge of cabinet construction. Generally looks nicer than comparable units because of the raised face door and drawers. Over all quality is great, especially for the price! I needed it for two small dogs so I added a divider in the middle so that the sliding door is one kennel and the side door is the other.. The boxes arrived a bit beat up as usual, but the pieces inside were safe and well-protected. I absolutely love the style of this dog crate it has that vintage industrial look that makes it feel like a real piece of furniture instead of just a kennel. It was definitely a bit time-consuming to assemble, especially with the sliding doors, but it was totally worth it in the end. I really like it because there are times when I want my Frenchie to stay calm and in one spot, especially while I’m cleaning or passing the vacuum. It’s perfect for that and he seems very comfortable. To be honest, I think I would have liked a darker wood color better, but this one is fine for now and it still looks very elegant in the room. I recently assembled this dog crate/furniture piece, and overall the process was fairly straightforward. However, there were a few moments where the instructions weren’t entirely clear. A couple of times, I had to flip or reorient pieces differently than shown in the manual in order to properly align the parts and screw in the rings. If you’re assembling it on your own, I recommend taking your time and double-checking each step before fully tightening everything. Once assembled, I’m very pleased with the finished product. My large-breed dog fits comfortably inside, and the crate feels solid and well-built for everyday use. The storage surface on top is a great bonus — it functions perfectly as an end table and provides extra space for décor or everyday essentials.
