This shelf is handcrafted by artisans right here in Sarasota, Fl. Recesses in the wall between studs! Simply put construction adhesive (not included) on the backside of the frame and push it into the opening in your drywall. It will glue to the outside surface of your drywall. Or you can screw it to the studs on each side. The fully adjustable glass shelves use our own patented shelf supports. The shelves slide in and the shelves cannot fall off or come out unless you want to move them!

I had to place it in the middle of the wall/around eye level because the air vent doesn't move too far up or down. Love the remote feature and it's very easy to use.
