Use the Allen key that looks like a wine bottle opener! These chairs are beautiful, sturdy and very comfortable, but they take a few hours to put together. The first chair took me forever to assemble, but I used it as a learning experience. I learned that I could have saved myself a ton of time if I had used the provided allen key with the red top (looks like a wine bottle opener), instead of the conventional one that was also provided. I also learned that I needed help from someone else for a few stages in the process because it saves a lot of time. Things went a lot smoother and faster when I put together the second chair. This chair is beautiful and of great quality. I ordered 10 of them and assembled all of them myself. The first one took me about 40 minutes. The last one took me 15. I ordered the dark green, and the color was perfect. I was a bit worried that it might turn out to be a Crayola crayon green - but it wasn't. It is a nice forest green, and the chairs look great around our campfire. We had a group of friends over to test them out, and they were the perfect fit for our smallest lady at 5 ft 1" and our tallest man at 6 ft 4" . They also have a large weight capacity and are wide enough for larger frames. The cupholder that folds out is a nice bonus. So much better than having cup holes in the arms. I also like the hidden hinges on these chairs. No chain hanging down with a pin. They fold up smoothly. We live in Oregon, where it rains a lot. This was good value for the price but it is OKAY quality. It looks nice on our front porch. The assembly instructions are not good. There is a front and back to the rocker legs so watch for that. Also be careful using a cordless screwdriver...we had some wood chip and broke off some of the screwheads. So manually screw in the last little bit of each screw. Very nice sturdy chairs! Husband had trouble getting two different screws to fit. One chair was not finished out with a clear coat sealer. Easy fix! Just bought a can of clear coat and sealed it! Wasn’t worth the the price of a can of clear coat to return! They match our cedar post and awnings perfect! Just started getting porch ready for spring. Plants coming soon!
