Wanted to upgrade our over the stove microwave and found this LG one. I love the slide out vent option. It really does get rid of steam and oil smoke from the front burners. It will help when we change to a gas range and oven. Other reviews stated issues with the side out function. I see no issues with the durability. Just don’t lean on it or put things on it. Power is amazing and food cooks quickly and evenly. Some others disliked that the screen goes blank until you open the door. I don’t notice this as an issue. You have to open the door to put your food in first. The only time it requires opening is to use the timer function. We are very impressed with the look, features, quality and price. I've had this unit for a year now and can attest to its reliability and performance. My condo has a small laundry closet and this is the only front-loading LG model that would fit. It is quiet and most of my laundry comes out clean and ready for the dryer. I find that the dryer actually works comparably to a vented dryer and it is easier on my clothes. My condo association discourages ventless dryers because of its prior experiences with water damage from leaks into other units which are not as much of an issue with the newer ventless technology. I love that I don't have to worry about pulling the unit out of the closet to periodically clean the dryer vent. My only issue is that sometimes laundry will come out with dry streaks indicating that the wash cycle was somehow not fully soaked the garments, even when stacked in the drum according to the manual. This oven looks really nice & cooks extremely well! I use Convection Mode mostly & it automatically reduces temperature which is nice. Bake Mode is what I use for desserts, breads & so far I’m happy with that. I have used the air fryer & comes with a basket. Improvements: menu panel is VERY hard to see in the evening- the print is too light. This really needs to be backlit, imo. (The LCD display that shows temp, etc is very bright so I’m not sure why the menu display is so dull) Also it’s missing add a minute button, when you want to add more time to cooking. The oven light goes off after 1 minute, which makes no sense if you want to check on your food while cooking. We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. Now if the TV or one of us saying something similar to "Hi Awoco" (prompt for commands) gets her talking we have a good chuckle.. Norma. Ware, MA. Sat Feb 14 2026
