The diamond-like carbon coating was developed to withstand the toughest conditions: The amorphous carbon layer, just a few micrometers thick, increases the surface hardness of our Wüsthof blades from 58 to a unique 104 Rockwell. This makes them resistant to acids, alkalis, extreme temperatures, and general wear and tear – even scratches don't stand a chance. The dynamics of our sharp knives are complemented by the slip-resistant hexagon power grip.
