Pretty straightforward machine made area rug to be honest. I just laid it down a half hour ago, no bad chemical smell, fit perfectly in my kitchen where I laid it. The colors are surprisingly vivid too. I ran a vacuum over it to see how much loose material would fall off of it or if any snag would get undone but it stayed as is.
