Appears to be relatively heavy-duty and well made. It is certainly long enough to serve as we expected for our old fat beagle to use to get up into my truck, on the couch and possibly onto the bed again. Rocky has arthritis in his hips and we do a lot of lifting of his aft end to get him up the back steps, into the truck and onto the couch. The ramp is long enough to make the grade favorable and not so steep he cannot negotiate most "climbs" as needed. The ramp is very compact when collapsed, yet quite strong when extended for use. June 9, 2026 update: it's absolutely not leather but it is wearing fine. I took the made-to-be-removed inserts out, threw it in the bathtub with laundry soap and washed the soft inside fabric and it took vigorous scrubbing very well. Still recommend this seat.
