Love this as an accent to the main wall in my new shower. Tile guy said it was HARD to work with because it’s very thin. So the glue filled the grout lines. The finished product is beautiful but buyer beware…this product is extremely labor intensive. The metal tiles are ceramic with a metal overlay, which causes a problem with cutting. There is only a small circle of glue holding them together and the metal pops off upon cutting and needs to be glued back on. This happened roughly 50 times during our project.. Shana. Being porcelain, it’s very hard and durable, and perhaps best of all, you can use an orbital sander to remove thinset and grout without damaging the finish—huge time saver! Just one critical thing to know in advance: these are spaced at 4mm, and you’ll have to search hard to find 4mm spacers. 3/16 is too wide, 1/8 is too skinny. On the upside, if things start looking a wee bit out of alignment, you can use those 3/16 and 1/8 spacers (very selectively) to cheat a little, with no discernible impact to aesthetics.. Ryan.
