This is a beautiful 100% handcrafted mahogany Riva aquarama model. Painted in the true color of the boat. It take hundreds of hours to build by skillful and creative master craftsmen. Contains hundreds of beautiful details such as shiny chrome and brass fittings and very detailed dashboard and leather seats. Layers of vanishes are applied; the hull is then smoothly sanded between coats to create a mirror effect. This model was built according to scale through original plans, pictures and drawings. Extensive research threw original plans and pictures makes Old Modern Handicrafts model look authentic. Each model goes threw a demanding quality control process before leaving Old Modern Handicrafts workshop. Rested in a neat wood stand.

For the engine, he turned to the new up and comers of the auto racing scene – Scuderia Ferrari… On the morning of October 15, 1953, Achille Castoldi succeeded in smashing the 800kg class speed record with an average ''flying kilometer'' two-way speed of 150.49 mph. He followed up the performance later that day by setting another record in the ''24 nautical miles'' event with an average speed of 102.34 mph… Arno XI was restored in the early 1990s and was put up for auction at the Coy's Festival at Silverstone in 1997 where it did not sell. It was photographed skimming across the water as recently as September 2004, along with many other vintage racing boats...

The Riva Aquarama was designed by Carlo Riva in the 1960s. The Riva is noted as one of the most legendary and famous speedboats out there. Now you can recreate this stunning Riva Aquarama by installing RC system for this model. Master craftsmen handcraft these highly detailed wood models from scratch using historical photographs, drawings and original plan. They are built to scale with high-grade wood such as: western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany. They are 100% hand built individually using plank-on-frame construction method and are similar to the building of actual ships. Each model requires hundreds of hours to finish and must go through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop. This is truly beautiful model of the Riva Aquarama with western red cedar and mahogany hull. The hull is encapsulated in one layer of fiberglass from both inside and outside for extra reinforcement and water proof. Under the rear seats, there is plenty of space for installing RC system. There are multiple tones of wood decking on the bow. You can find exquisite details from the leather works to all the realistic gauges. All fittings such as windshield frame, wiper, navigation lights, mirror, and flag pole are made of stainless steel. The cockpit has two hand stitched individual leather seats as well as a rear passenger seat. The swimming platform also comes with stainless steel hand rails. The model rests on a wooden stand when it's not in use.
