After searching several high end stores for end tables and not finding what we wanted, we found these. They were the simple style we wanted, perfect dimensions and the stain color was also what we wanted. They arrived on time and were easy to assemble, with one exception. There were no pre drilled holes in the legs where the bottom shelf attached to the legs with four screws. We struggled with the first table, barely getting the screws in without stripping them. Just two negatives - I wish I could remove the nubs (that join the units together) on the top unit, and the company sticker on the unit was a bear to get off - I don’t know why companies put them on the unit like that! A least make them easier to remove. Took me 25 minutes with goo be gone to scrape it off. I left the bottom one on that can’t be seen bc I don’t feel like scraping another one off!. Lisa. US. I received this table (which I intend to use as a side table by my couch in our living room), in about 10 days. I noticed a large tear and indentation when I got it ( by FedEx). Was concerned that there may be damage to the table. I was very pleased to see how well it was packed! Lots of styrofoam, and cardboard and other packing material. There was no damage. The table is very, very close to what the pictures of it shows. Strong, heavy wood, beautiful! Excellent quality. Assembling this table was easy. One person can do it in half an hour but easier if 2 people were involved to hold up the sides as the back panel was slid into the side panels. All pieces were in pristine condition. All parts were there. I am purchasing another of these tables after seeing how well made and classy this table is. I purchased the 3-shelf size, 36" H X 48" wide. It holds my entire cookbook collection and does double duty as a divider between the foyer and kitchen/dining area. Beautiful, heavy wood in the mission style. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the backing. I wish furniture manufacturers would stop to consider that not every piece of furniture is going to be put against a wall, so it would be nice to have a decent backing. The back of this bookcase is some sort of shiny, vinyl covered panel and the color is awful. Maybe it was meant to be faux marble, but they missed by a mile.
