The extension includes an upper and lower chimney that replaces the original chimney set and is adjustable and retractable according to your needs. Used this with the H155C Series 30" 286 CFM island range hood. We have cathedral ceilings and had to purchase the chimney extension; because of the angled ceiling, I had our contractor fashion a ceiling box to create a level surface for the chimney and chimney bracket and it worked great. Winflo carbon filters/charcoal filters are perfectly designed for ductless range hood installation. They are attached to the range hood blower to clean the air before recirculating back into the house. Ductwork is not necessary. Winflo carbon filters are the solution for the kitchens that don't have an exhausting duct option. This carbon filter fits Winflo some wall mount or island range hood. Will caution that my contractor was surprised the opening to duct out was higher than he anticipated; mentioning this for anyone doing a remodel to ensure their contractor understands this before closing up walls in case any framing needs to be adjusted. We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. Now if the TV or one of us saying something similar to "Hi Awoco" (prompt for commands) gets her talking we have a good chuckle.. Norma. Ware, MA. Sat Feb 14 2026
