This pan is exceptionally good and heats up quickly and evenly, I confirmed it with the thermometer with a flat surface probe. I cooked a fried egg in butter and it did not stick. I made a quick fried rice in it and it did not stick. Cleaning is exceptionally easy. Just water and some dish soap and a sponge. No traces of tarnish in sight. It's simply an excellent pan. I had a few pieces of Wilton Armetale purchased before, but never a frying pan and I am very pleased. It does have one limitation that I must disclose. It spins on our flat ceramic stovetop when heated. When it cools down, it becomes flat again. Since I got it primarily for the stovetop cooking, not for oven, nor for grilling, I hammered its bottom lightly on the outside, in the middle, with a wooden hammer, to change its curvature a fraction of a degree. Nothing is visible on its cooking surface. The water sits flat right in the middle, no pooling in the edges. But now it sits flat both when it is cold and when it is heated to any temperature, well beyond 250C or even 300C when water rolls over its surface like a giant mercury ball. You can cook or fry with any oil in it, including extra virgin olive oil, of course. And cooking sprays will not harm it either. Only when using it on the grill, one should be more careful with the choice of oils or sprays, because they can catch flames. I am in love with this pan and cannot recommend it highly enough. I have been using glass loaf pans for several years and thought that I might improve the texture of my bread with a metal pan, plus I wanted to stop using baking spray. This is the classic size of my 40+ year old glass pans, so I don't have to adjust my recipe. I used a parchment paper sling and was really worried when I started to lift the loaf out, but it came out so clean that you can't see that it has been used. I think that it might work without the paper sling even, just tip it out. I would buy this in the diamond like carbon coating, just for durability, but this looks like it is going to work just fine as is. Very glad that I ordered it.. Oldguyinoh. Ohio, USA. "William Moultrie" by Alonzo Chappel depicts the American Revolutionary War general, best known for his leadership in defending Fort Sullivan (later Fort Moultrie) against the British in 1776. Moultrie’s most famous contribution came early in the war when he commanded colonial forces at a partially constructed fort on Sullivan’s Island, near Charleston, South Carolina. The fort, made of palmetto logs and sand, was later named Fort Moultrie in his honor. Facing a British naval assault led by Admiral Sir Peter Parker, Moultrie’s strategic leadership and the resilience of his roughly 400 militia troops repelled a much larger British force, including nine warships with over 200 guns. As a colonel (later promoted to brigadier general in 1776), Moultrie organized and led South Carolina militia forces, helping to secure the region against British and Loyalist threats. During the Siege of Charleston in 1780, Moultrie was second-in-command under General Benjamin Lincoln. Despite a valiant defense, the city fell to the British, and Moultrie was captured. He remained a prisoner of war until exchanged in 1782. Moultrie’s contributions were critical in the early war effort, particularly in protecting South Carolina from British control at a time when the American cause was fragile. It has occurred to me that we never addressed the issue of Persian Antique Mahal rugs vs. Sultanabad rugs. There is a growing misconception that Sultanabad rugs & Mahal rugs were both woven in the same place – Arak. But in reality, Sultanabad rugs were woven in Arak while Mahal carpets were woven in the city of Mahallat which is also known as Mahallat-e Bala or Mahallat Bala, Mahal rugs tend to have a coarser weave, the wool is not as lustrous and the design is not as refined as those that were produced in Arak ( Sultanabad ). Price is also a factor since the carpets from Sultanabad is considered better quality, and are feature designs that are more interesting they were always more expensive than their Mahal counterparts. Both rug productions incorporate patterns that are not exactly floral or geometric, a unique feature that makes them extremely versatile and can be incorporated in almost any setting or decor. When decorating with antique rugs from Sultanabad, it is useful to know a little bit about the background of these rugs. Indeed, antique Mahal carpets offer one of the most interesting histories of any antique rug style.
