We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. I had a ge microwave already. This was basically the newest version. Be careful. The mount bracket is a little different and the top screws are in a different spot. I would say if you are looking at it just for the steam function I would not buy just for that. You can only put water in while the oven is cold before you start to bake. I had visions of steam baking big batches of cookies and muffins with the steam back function. Before you get through a second batch of muffins or maybe 3 sheets of cookies the water will have all evaporated and you will be out of steam. Kinda disappointing might as well just put a pan of water in below item you are baking rather than pouring in bottom of oven.
