It's a nice cabinet and heavy, but not solid oak as we had thought. It's an oak veneer and not all oak veneer in some spots so if you get unfinished staining doesn't work very well, so we had to paint ours. I’m redesigning my living room to look more “traditional” so this TV stand was a perfect addition. It is well made, sturdy and will last for years to come! I did not add the feet to it because it would make my TV too high, but I may add them later if I end up using this in a different room. My one complaint is that it’s quite a bit darker than the brown wood shown in the product photo. It ended up working for me, but I could see why it would be a deal breaker for someone else.
