I really like this desk. I think its great. However, I only recommended it for those ready for the technical and physical challenges and have the skills, time, and patience for assembling things like this. The instructions describe the general order of assembly and are insufficient on certain details. It comes in five boxes, so be sure to do a complete inventory before starting. I spent more than 24 hours (with break times) for unpacking, inventory, and assembly, including getting the drawers and doors operating smoothly to running, wrapping, and placement of power, video, and data cables so that they are just right. This is a great deal for the price. Very sturdy. It's just what I needed to brighten up my smaller living room that's open to the kitchen and dining room. I've been redoing everything in the house because it was a dirty beige and kind of utilitarian empty canvas when I bought it. I've been painting and bringing in touches of natural elements. The wood on the doors is perfect for that. I love that it arrived assembled and is solid wood. It had a little bit of a paint or sealant smell at first but you could only smell it if you got close and that quickly faded away after a couple days. Others have talked about the sticker on top. They may have changed it because I was able to just gently peel it off and only a tiny bit of residue remained and I worked that off with just my fingernail in a few seconds. I have to give this TV stand 5 stars because it’s exactly what I wanted. However the description of the item said it would take 2 hours to assemble but it actually took 3-4 hours each day for 3 days to complete the assembly! The opening should have had a center board to support the top. Additionally, there is a fifth leg in the middle of the stand that isn’t detailed in the description.
