I really like this desk. I think its great. However, I only recommended it for those ready for the technical and physical challenges and have the skills, time, and patience for assembling things like this. The instructions describe the general order of assembly and are insufficient on certain details. It comes in five boxes, so be sure to do a complete inventory before starting. I spent more than 24 hours (with break times) for unpacking, inventory, and assembly, including getting the drawers and doors operating smoothly to running, wrapping, and placement of power, video, and data cables so that they are just right. Really nice, quality, sturdy piece of furniture. No particle board! The deliver was timely; the stand was sent in one box and easily the best-packaged piece of furniture I've ever ordered from anywhere. It took a while to get everything out of the box, but it was worth it considering it was packaged so well that there was no damage! The solid wood has a cherry tint but in most lightings looks pretty neutral-brown as you can see from two of the photos. Assembly wouldn't be challenging if you did it with two people, but I did it myself and it took a few stop-and-go hours with the occasional distraction. I also am not handy at ALL. I will say that I think you'll need a drill for the assembly: if I had one complaint, it would be that I had to re-drill the holes for the door hinges on the inside of one of the cabinets, which didn't line up perfectly, and also widen some of the holes when attaching the back panel. So sad. Table arrived today with a lot of damage. It seemed to be packaged properly so maybe it was shipped that way. I don’t know. Many other scratches and digs and dings that aren’t in photos. Got tire of looking. It’s solid wood so someone really had to work at these marks. It’s a very nice table otherwise. I honestly just didn’t expect it to be so damaged. Or damaged at all actually. I’ll reach out to customer service and let you know if they are willing to make it right. My advice, heed all of the reviews that say their items arrived damaged. Wish I had. UPDATE - Wayfair gave me a generous credit for the damage, which I thought was very nice of them, and the truth is, I’ve become used to the imperfections and they don’t drive me as crazy as I thought they would.
