Bed is assembled with bolts that are visible on the footboard which I don’t like. The fabric is linen and on the lighter side, not yellowish or grey. Hammered features are a nice contrast to the conventional upholstered bed design. Bed can be mixed with contemporary furniture or antiquish, like I have. All in all, I’d recommend. This is a beautiful bed. The material is a very soft velvet and the entire bed is covered. The headboard has a piece of wood that attaches to each side which adds a nice detail. Bed is super sturdy and assembly was very basic. You do not need a box spring. I have a mattress set which makes the bed taller than the footboard. This bed is definitely a statement piece.
