This product is a replacement for the 6kw unit that i had for 10 years. I actually don't have a use for the lights and speakers as my shower is already done. Not very happy with the programmability of the unit. You can only run the unit in 30 min increments. So if it takes 15 minutes to get up to temp you have to run it for another 30 + 15 remaining from the preheat. Maybe I'll find a way to not have to add 30 min. I love this firebox! The pictures dont do it justice, but it is very realistic-looking. The heater is loud but definitely heats up my living room, kitchen, breakfast area and small hallway.
