Wanted to upgrade our over the stove microwave and found this LG one. I love the slide out vent option. It really does get rid of steam and oil smoke from the front burners. It will help when we change to a gas range and oven. Other reviews stated issues with the side out function. I see no issues with the durability. Just don’t lean on it or put things on it. Power is amazing and food cooks quickly and evenly. Some others disliked that the screen goes blank until you open the door. I don’t notice this as an issue. You have to open the door to put your food in first. The only time it requires opening is to use the timer function. We are very impressed with the look, features, quality and price. I have an InSinkerator, so did not need the included drain cover and basket - but they look MUCH better than the InSinkerator drain ;). Note, the sink is very heavy. The BIG design flaw is that when the cycle is complete it simply shuts off, no indicator light that the cycle has been completed. Major over-sight, possibly they could modify it with a sw update? REALLY pretty! Especially for this price point. Everything is straight and the doors are extremely adjustable when installing. It’s a charming piece. I took a star off because the hardware could be better. The knobs are so teeny tiny and they overlap. I feel this cheapens the look. I can’t replace them because other knobs are too large. Additionally, the black knobs do not match the overflow cover, which is chrome. I wanted a black faucet to match my knobs, now I have to use chrome which cheapens the look again.
