I bought this so I could slice my own meat. Works great from paper-thin to about a 1/2 inch thick. Also works well with veggies, great for a stir fry. Tip make sure the meat is very cold or slightly frozen ( put it in the freezer for about 45 minutes. And no bones. IT WILL NOT cut through bones. Also, with turkey or chicken, it shaves it instead of slicing on the part you have cut off before. So it is best to leave the turkey or chicken breast whole if you want to slice it.. Paul. US. This architectural design fits well with transitional spaces
