I had a ge microwave already. This was basically the newest version. Be careful. The mount bracket is a little different and the top screws are in a different spot. It came with nice paper templates that showed you exactly where to mount and drill. Me and a friend installed it in 45 minutes. Works great. No fluff solid ge appliance. I’m happy. James. Just got the microwave set up and working, so time will tell. The MCM1611ST is very similar to a Magic Chef I bought in 2004. The old machine needed some parts, which impressively Magic Chef still sold, but the cost could have approached this new machine. The old machine had an all stainless case and cavity, which these new machines lack. It was also made in Korea, while all the new machines are made in China. Product is what we needed as the kitchenette required a smaller microwave. Product arrived damaged but nothing would have indicated damage looking at packaging. The damaged parts (dents on both sides) were easily concealed when installed but that was also a bit of a hassle. My husband is an electrician & has hung quite a few microwaves, yet he wasn't a fan of the install. We tested after install, it works & no issues with the unit at the moment (not being used as we aren't moved in at the moment). We did contact Wayfair about issues, they contacted Danby on my behalf & Danby contacted me the next day.
