First, the positive comments: the table was a pleasant surprise in that it is more white than depicted in the photos. It is a sturdy table and the extension insert is easy ro put together, even though I am a senior citizen, with spine injuries. I did it myself. Many compliments were received. The negative part is that it arrived broken. The customer service was most helpful and we resolved the issue. Arrived damaged on one corner and a small dent thru the veneer on the table top. Wayfair said the manufacturer would reach out in two business days but its so heavy I dont want to handle a return. I think Ill put a coat of lacquer on it to keep my kids from scratching it. For the price this is an excellent solid table. I was really excited to find this table. It was exactly what I was searching for. Rustic, elegant, transcendent. The wood work is really beautiful. The color is soft and feminine, but could stand up against other colors, textures and vibes. I worried that the surface would be splinter-y especially for my young niece and nephew but it’s smooth and non threatening. Expect that there will be some small natural wood defects like this knot I shared a photo of, or some filled in cracks/splits. I think it adds to its natural charm, but if that isn’t the type of table you’re looking for this one may not be for you. Beautiful and arrived earlier than expected. If you are looking for a perfectly smooth tabletop this is not the one for you, but for french country or farmhouse looks the reclaimed look with imperfections left in the wood for character than I would highly recommend. This table is amazing. It's beautiful, functional and easy to use. The adjustable foot pegs are wonderful to stabilize the piece. The rollers to extend and add the leaf are quite smooth and can be opened by one individual.
