First, the positive comments: the table was a pleasant surprise in that it is more white than depicted in the photos. It is a sturdy table and the extension insert is easy ro put together, even though I am a senior citizen, with spine injuries. I did it myself. Many compliments were received. The negative part is that it arrived broken. The customer service was most helpful and we resolved the issue. I loved this table when we got it. There was a very large flaw about the size of a dollar bill that I decided to live with. Then the first time we used it my glass sweat on the surface and it left a mark. I thought it would dry, the mark remained. Every drip leaves a permanent mark. When I tried to wipe the whole area, I took the gray was off. That was unacceptable to me so I lightly sanded the surface, filled the hole, gray washeded the surface and then put a finish coat on the whole thing. I was really excited to find this table. It was exactly what I was searching for. Rustic, elegant, transcendent. The wood work is really beautiful. The color is soft and feminine, but could stand up against other colors, textures and vibes. I worried that the surface would be splinter-y especially for my young niece and nephew but it’s smooth and non threatening. Expect that there will be some small natural wood defects like this knot I shared a photo of, or some filled in cracks/splits. I think it adds to its natural charm, but if that isn’t the type of table you’re looking for this one may not be for you.
