My damaged awning needed to be replaced and I wanted to replace it with something more modernistic. After an exhaustive search, I chose this Advaning polycarbonate clear-top awning for many reasons: 1) I liked that it can hold up to 550-lbs of snow, since we get a lot of snow here. 2) The clear top is awesome because when the floodlight is on at night, I can clearly see the lock to unlock my door (versus my old awning that had a solid top, thus blocking all the light) 3) The aesthetics is amazing - looks 1,000 times better than my old one (see picture of old and new awning side-by-side below), 4) The curved lip at the end is super handy because it forces rain to either side. My old awning went straight down, meaning I had to walk through a waterfall every time it rained. 5) decorative lag bolt covers were included to give it that finishing touch.
